Text Outline Reveal is a flexible and modern animated title preset designed to create smooth outline-based text animations directly on the Edit page in DaVinci Resolve. The template features four distinct animation modes that allow you to reveal, follow, drift, or dynamically open text outlines with full creative control and minimal setup.

Each title is fully customizable through the Inspector, giving you precise control over outline appearance, animation timing, reveal behavior, jitter, and motion strength. Built-in shadow and glow options allow you to enhance readability and visual impact, making this template ideal for tutorials, presentations, social media videos, explainers, branding content, and modern video layouts.

Built entirely inside Fusion, Text Outline Reveal does not rely on any third-party plugins. All customization is handled through a clean and organized Inspector interface, allowing you to create consistent and professional-looking animated titles without entering the Fusion page.

The animation system is designed to be responsive and resolution-independent, ensuring reliable performance across landscape, portrait, and custom project formats.

You will receive a ZIP file containing:

• TextOutlineReveal.drfx
• Font Files (Poppins.zip)
• README.txt

How to install

• Download and unzip the package
• Open the Font Files and install all .ttf font files before using the template.
• Note: If the Poppins font is already installed on your system, you may skip this step and proceed directly to installing the template.
• Double-click the OutlineReveal.drfx file to install the title preset.
• Click Install (or Overwrite if updating).
• Restart DaVinci Resolve.

On the Edit Page, navigate to: Effects Library > Toolbox > Titles > DvBlend

You can also use the search bar and type Outline Reveal.

How to use

• On the Edit Page, drag the Text Outline Reveal title onto the timeline.
• Select the title clip and open: Inspector > Video > Title.
• Customize the text:
  • Edit text content
  • Adjust font size and alignment
  • Modify outline thickness and spacing
  • Change outline color
• Select an animation mode:
  • Reveal: Outline draws on and off smoothly
  • Follow: Outline reveals while moving along the path
  • Drift: Outline moves dynamically with random motion
  • Open: Manual control over maximum outline length
• Adjust animation controls:
  • Set animation delay
  • Enable or disable end animation
• Enhance the look:
  • Enable and adjust text shadow
  • Enable and customize text glow
• Preview and refine until the animation fits your project.
